About Bryan Thomas

Bryan "The Cactus" Thomas (born June 7, 1979 in Birmingham, Alabama) is a linebacker for the New York Jets of the National Football League. The 6'4" lineman was selected out of the UAB in the 2002 NFL Draft. Thomas had a monster combine performance that elevated him into the first round. He played his entire career as a defensive end until being converted to a linebacker in the 3-4 defense for the Jets during the 2006 NFL season. Thomas does become a defensive end when Mangini uses a 4-3 defense.
