David Lee Wells (born May 20, 1963 in Torrance, California) is a former Major League Baseball starting pitcher. Nicknamed "Boomer", Wells was one of the game's better left-handed pitchers, especially during his years with the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays. He is one of only 17 pitchers to have pitched a perfect game in the past 130 years of Major League Baseball. He is tied only with Kenny Lofton for appearing in the post season with 6 different teams.
