About Long Island Jewish Hospital
Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJMC) shares the title of clinical and academic hub of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. It is an 827-bed voluntary, non-profit tertiary care teaching hospital serving the greater New York metropolitan area. The 48-acre (190,000 m2) campus is 15 miles (24 km) east of Manhattan, on the border of Queens and Nassau Counties, in New Hyde Park, New York.
