Mosul

An Iraqi man walks past a Kurdish flag in the northern Iraqi multi-ethnic city of Kirkuk, 240 kms north of the capital Baghdad on December 23, 2011. Iraq's Christians, markedly fewer in number following attacks on their minority community, are increasingly fearful in the face of a rise in sectarian tensions after the withdrawal of US troops as some two-thirds of the Christians living in Baghdad, Mosul and Kirkuk are estimated to have fled since the US-led invasion of 2003, with more continuing to leave the violence-wracked country.
