During Wednesday night’s game against the New England Revolution, Real Salt Lake defender Carlos Salcedo was mistakenly identified and shown a yellow card that resulted in his wrongful send off ... Through the Professional Referee Organization, the referee informed MLS of the error after the game. Therefore, the caution has been expunged from Salcedo’s record and he will be eligible to play versus Montreal on Saturday. Tony Beltran will be assessed the caution that was rightfully due him. The next disciplinary points report will reflect this additional caution in Mr. Beltran’s total.
It’s definitely been a crazy week. I know the goalkeeper for the team in Boston in the MLS, the New England Revolution, his father-in-law was injured in the attack so, hopefully, he has pulled through some of the surgeries ... I think he still needs prayers and well wishes, hopefully he can pull through that situation, it is tragic what has happened. The police and the effort of the first responders has been fantastic and it just proves what Americans and the city of Boston are all about.More quotes »
