Nicholas Lou "Nick" Saban (born October 31, 1951, in Fairmont, West Virginia) is the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide college football team. Saban has previously served as head coach of the National Football League's Miami Dolphins and three other NCAA universities: LSU, Michigan State and Toledo. His eight-year contract for a total of $32 million made him one of the highest paid college football coaches in the United States at the time. Saban's career record as a collegiate head coach is 110–50–1.
