Skid Row (musician)
US musician Billy Davis Jr., seen here serving food, was one of many celebrities who volunteered to help out at the Los Angeles Mission's Good Friday event on Skid Row on March 29, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. Celebrities and volunteers joined together in giving something back to this community of the homeless, among the largest in the US, who were fed a fully-prepared meal and had the opportunity to be given foot washing and hygiene kits. Foot washing, a symbolic ritual of humbleness and respect derived from Jesus Christ's washing of his disciples feet at the Last Supper, was offered by the Los Angeles Health Center and volunteers.
