Italian Vincenzo Nibali celebrates retaining the pink jersey on the podium of the 146 kms 15th stage of the 96th Giro d'Italia from Cesana Torinese to Col du Galibier in France in victory on May 19, 2013. Giovanni Visconti won the 15th stage of the Giro d'Italia on Sunday after a mountain finish in the snow following a 149km ride from Cesana Torinese to Col du Galibier.
I think the organisers made an important decision. They had already changed the stage, but because of the weather conditions and the snow, we can't do the stage. The conditions are really extreme and so I think they've made the right decision.
With today's victory I've certainly taken another huge step and now I can control the advantage ... Let's hope the weather is good, apart from at the changes of the course. The climbs don't scare me because I feel good, I feel in form. Of course it would be easier to control the race with the team without going up the Gavia and the Stelvio. But I'm ready for anything.
