KAZ AN NOU Hidden away on the "back" side of Barclays, mere steps away, is this charming French-Caribbean spot (the name means "Our House" in the Creole language of Guadeloupe). Entrees include traditional shrimp and dumplings, smoked jerk chicken breast and duck leg confit. (Feb. 24, 2013)(Credit: Johnny Simon)

Dining options near the Barclays Center

The Barclays Center is bringing unprecedented droves to Brooklyn for Nets games and concerts. If you're hungry, there are great concessions at the arena, including Calexico (updated Cal-Mex fare) and Fatty 'Cue (inventive barbecue with Asian flair). But if you want a sit-down meal before or after the event, you'll have to wander father afield. Fortunately, the trendy, food-savvy borough offers several great options, all within walking distance. Here are five favorites.
