JetBlue is expanding its member rewards program, TrueBlue, to offer added benefits to its most frequent fliers.

Called Mosaic and debuting this fall, perks include early boarding and access to a swifter security line, plus the ability to apply points to seats with additional leg room and checking a second bag for free.

If you're not a member, the first step is to sign up for TruBlue, which you can do at https://trueblue.jetblue.com. From there, fliers need to accrue 15,000 points in a calendar year (or 12,000 points from 30-plus one-way flights over the course of a year). One trick to help get to that total includes booking flights at the JetBlue website (where every dollar spent earns six points).

Track your point progress online and, when you're there, the Mosaic benefits apply both to you and those traveling with you. Members will also receive an email when they're close to Moasic status. If you're already signed up for TruBlue, all points accrued in 2012 do count.
