A recent Hotels.com survey gave New York City a No. 2 ranking among the world's best taxis. With 1,600 participants polled across 28 countries, the survey took place in July, the site announced Thursday in a news release.
London taxis were found to be the best of the best, with the Top Five filled out by Tokyo (No. 3), Shanghai (4) and Bangkok (5).

Southwest Airlines has announced a 40-percent sale on some round-trip flights.
This “Big Winter Sale” has a 72-hour window, and flights need to be booked by Oct. 11. Travel dates must be from Nov. 28 to Dec. 12 and Jan. 7 to Feb. 13, with some blackout dates (including Sundays).
