Flea market at the Coliseum

Don't call it a flea market, its proprietors say, but the new outdoor Market Fair in the parking lot of Nassau Coliseum does hark back to the days of booths, where tie-dyed T-shirts and handmade silver jewelry could be found on the cheap. Flea markets were plentiful on Long Island years ago, and for many, a favorite place to while away an afternoon. This one has vendors with merchandise both old and new -- from antiques and refurbished small furniture to new shoes, pocketbooks and clothing.
