Isles of Shoals

Since the English explorer Captain John Smith spotted the islands just under 400 years ago, the Isles of Shoals, a cluster of nine small islands, five in Maine, four in New Hampshire, has evolved from rough-and-tumble 17th-century fishing outpost to posh Victorian-era vacation destination.
