They're calling it the "Shipping and Handling Sale." In a nutshell,  you  "ship" yourself anywhere on JetBlue, and it will "handle" your first bag for free. While the campaign is clever, it doesn't seem like much of a gift, since the airline always lets you check your first bag free.

However, the one-way sale fares, which start at $44 from Kennedy Airport are, indeed, quite the bargain.

That $44 fare will get you to Boston, while $49 will get you to upstate Syracuse and Rochester or Richmond, Va. For $59 you can get to  Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Portland (Maine, not Oregon), upstate Buffalo or Burlington, Vt.

Just $69 will get you to New Orleans or Jacksonville, Fla., and $79 to four other Florida airports, including Orlando. To get as far as Chicago or Sarasota, Fla. you'll pay $89, and $99 gets you out of the country (Barbados and the Bahamas). You can get to the West coast for $159, which is still a sweet deal. Check jetblue.com for every sale fare being offered as part of the promotion.

Book through July 30, for travel between Sept. 7 and Dec. 15, 2010, with some restrictions. If you're planning on visiting Grandma for Thanksgiving, don't get too excited:  Nov. 19 through 30 is blacked out.
