iMuffs Bluetooth headphones for wireless connection to iPods and Bluetooth cell phones

HOW MUCH: $179.99

DOES IT WORK? We were intrigued - and skeptical - by iMuffs' claim: "Simply unbox, plug in and listen to great stereo sound without the hassle of software downloading, Bluetooth pairing or configuration." We charged the headphones with the included USB cable (a plug-in travel charger also is included), attached the Bluetooth dongle adapter to our iPod, turned everything on and immediately heard near-CD quality sound. Pairing is required for Bluetooth cell phones (feature not tested). A pinhole microphone for phone use is integrated in the right "muff," where the easy-to-use play and volume controls are also located.

Although airlines prohibit the use of Bluetooth apparatus, iMuffs make a fine wireless traveling companion at your hotel, or for hiking, biking or touring. Compatible with most iPods. Its headband is not adjustable, but iMuffs remained seated even with vigorous head-shaking. Available in black or white from manufacturer wi-gear .com or at amazon.com.
