To me, Ski Sundown is the only ski area worth skiing in CT. Favorite trails are Temptor and Gun Barrel. Nice views, consistent conditions, excellent operators. It's a very enjoyable time for my family and me, affordable, and nice ambiance.

NEVER, EVER GO TO WOODBURY SKI. THEY CHARGE FOR A X-COUNTRY LIFT TICKET EVEN THERE THE TRAIL IS CLOSED. FOR $15.00 YOU WERE ALLOWED TO SKI IS A VERY SMALL FIGURE 8 AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL. (PLEASE DON'T EVEN THINK TO CALL IT A MOUNTAIN). THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL RIP OFF.

I am in complete agreement with LDS -- Ski Sundown is without question the best ski area in Connecticut. As a father of 4 kids (12 and younger), it is a superb learning mountain with enough challenging terrain to keep the kids interested for several years. The quality of the ski school staff is on par with any we have experienced in the Rockies or Vermont. Snow conditions are usually very good, and the facilities are bright and updated. I love this place - and so do my kids!
