Hidden Valley ski report and snow conditions


Hidden Valley is a good mountain for experienced skiers, with more than 50 percent of their trails and parks rated black-diamond or higher. They have rentals, a ski school and the ability to make snow anytime the temperature dips below 50 degrees. Note, there is no child-care on the mountain so make sure everyone in the family is ready to hit the slopes.

PRICING

Full-Day: weekdays, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. $19 adults and ages 6-12, free younger than 5, weekends and holidays.

Half Day: weekdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1-5 p.m. $20 adults, $17 ages 6-12; weekends and holidays, $39 adults, $34 ages 6-12.

Twilight: 3-9 p.m. weekdays $25 adults, $22 ages 6-12; weekends and holidays $31 adults, $27 ages 6-12.

Night: 5-9 p.m. weekdays $20 adults, $18 ages 6-12; weekends and holidays $29 adults, $25 ages 6-12.

Rental rates
Snowboard and boots $25; skis $20, poles $10.

Special deals and packages
Beginner ski package includes a full day or twilight beginner lift/area pass, one-hour beginner group lesson and equipment rental, $55 weekday, $80 weekend; beginner snowboard package, $58 weekday, $83 weekend (all area upgrade additional $10).

OTHER SNOW ACTIVITIES

Terrain Park includes features and rails like a C-rail and rainbow rail; new Mini Park has scaled down features for beginners.

FOR THE KIDS

Ski Wee, a learn-to-ski program for ages 4-12, register for either the half-day program (morning 9:30 a.m.-noon, $65 or afternoon 1:30-4 p.m., $65) or the full-day program, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., $90. All sessions take a hot chocolate break; the full-day program includes lunch. Reservations required, rentals available, $10 additional(helmets not available).

Mini Riders, a learn-to-board program for ages 7-12, register for either the half-day program (morning 9:30 a.m.-noon, $70 or afternoon 1:30-4 p.m., $70) or the full-day program, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., $95. All sessions take a hot chocolate break; the full-day program includes lunch. Reservations required, rentals available $10 additional (helmets not available).

The Breakneck Bar, in the main lodge, happy hour 5-7 p.m. weekdays, entertainment, karaoke nights and other special activities. Bonnie's Angus Grill, located on the third floor of the lodge, serves meals in family-friendly surroundings.
