Type: Sushi, Japanese Price range: $$$$ (Very expensive) Description:

Widely considered the premier sushi restaurant in Westchester County, if not the entire Hudson Valley, this is a sleek and sexy one-man show in the person of Yoshimichi Takeda, who has wielded the sword in Manhattan at illustrious places like Nobu and Masa. The unpretentious spot has three cubicles that can seat 12 as well and room for six at the sushi bar. The seafood, much of which is hustled in from Japan, is unassailably fresh. The chef's handiwork is exhilarating and some of the flavor combination ethereal. Some patrons complain about inhospitable treatment, especially when you are late. By all means, don't arrive without a reservation or you will be regarded as invisible, or worse.  -Bryan Miller
