Thomas the Tank Engine comes to New Jersey

Thomas the Tank Engine, a replica of the well-known storybook character, will roll into New Jersey this summer for short train rides along the Delaware River Railroad.

The 40-stop "Day Out With Thomas 2009: The Hero of the Rails Tour" will come to Phillipsburg 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 3-5 and 10-12, offering kids and their families a chance to take a quick excursion on the track. Rides will last about 25 minutes, with crafts, live music and other activities for kids in the boarding area. Tickets are $18 for ages
