Nothing refreshes like a weekend getaway, and with the season's first chills settling in, Florida beckons.

Florida's outdoors are warm and welcoming, and there are so many things to do and see in this state that you'll never have time to worry about what's happening back home. That's why it's called a getaway.

If you're bringing the kids on your quickie trip, the best place to go is Orlando, where the theme parks will bedazzle them - though there are plenty of adult pursuits there to keep parents busy as well.

If you're just a couple taking a break from Long Island, then South Beach and Key West are especially exciting places to visit.
