May marks the beginning of Las Vegas' pool season, and visitors have their choice of ritzy resort pool scenes all over town.

New this year - guests at Tropicana Las Vegas will find a revamped 4-acre pool. The South Beach-themed area has landscaping, waterfalls and private lounge spots at swim-up blackjack tables. Cabanas are available for rent and guests can swim to a "private island" within the pool for specialty cocktails.

The new pool is a milestone of the $165 million transformation of the casino, located on the Las Vegas Strip. Tropicana also plans to open new luxury suites later this month.
