"Twilight: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" is taking a big bite of the online buzz, according to the new IBM Film Forecaster social sentiment index.

The index analyzes natural language in Twitter feeds to measure moviegoers' views toward films that are upcoming and playing in theaters.

After examining more than five million tweets over 11 days, the index found that the "Twilight" installment had the loudest buzz, with 4.25 million tweets, but its positive sentiment fell from 90 percent before release to 75 percent on Saturday, Armonk-based IBM said in a news release.

"Skyfall," the latest James Bond movie, was No. 2 with 700,000 tweets, 90 percent of them positive.

Other movies generating buzz were: "Red Dawn," "Life of Pi" and "Rise of the Guardians," which produced the most Thanksgiving Day tweets.

The IBM project, a cooperative venture with the University of Southern California Annenberg Innovation Lab, is designed to show how companies can use real-time data to help marketers in the fields of entertainment, sports, retail and news make better decisions.

IBM also is analyzing holiday retail sales data in its IBM 2012 Holiday Benchmark reports.
