Channing Tatum named 2012's Sexiest Man Alive by People
Channing Tatum is the hunkiest of the hunks.
The beefcake actor was crowned this year's Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine Wednesday, joining the ranks of Hollywood hotties like Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt and Jude Law, who have all won the title in the past.
The 32-year-old's sexy-man accolade comes at the end of what has been a huge year for Tatum, starring in the box-office biggie "Magic Mike" - which was based in part on his own experiences as a stripper (pre-acting days) - as well as "The Vow," alongside Rachel McAdams, and "21 Jump Street," with Jonah Hill.
"My first thought was, 'Y'all are messing with me,'" Tatum, who's married to actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum, told the magazine. "I told Jenna after we'd been in the bathtub washing our dogs because they'd gotten skunked."
The Alabama-born actor's smoking-hot looks aren't the only thing that make him sexy, his wife says: "People ... don't know how emotionally deep and spiritually open he is. He is such an open-hearted person; what you see is what you get."
A bevy of other celebri-guys were featured for their sexiness in the new issue of People, including Blake Shelton, "New Girl" star Max Greenfield, Matt Bomer, Olympian Oscar Pistorius, Usher, Seth Meyers, "Breaking Bad's" Aaron Paul and Cooper, last year's Sexiest Man Alive.
