'You Are Not the Boss of Me (Tree Totem)'
Don't get disoriented if you suddenly see your reflection everywhere when walking by Pier 94 or down West 24th Street for the next two weeks. You're not losing your mind; actually, you're seeing a "guerrilla" art exhibit from NYC-based artist Marko Remec, who has taken over some of the city's trees for a one-week public sculpture installation that's part of his ongoing "Totem Series." Remec uses convex safety mirrors, strategically arranged along trees, to create a really cool effect. The exhibit will be up for two weeks starting today and ending March 14. An artist's reception will be held Thursday night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at C24 Gallery. (Thursday through March 14, FREE, Pier 94 off W. 54th St.; C24 Gallery at 514 W. 24th St., markoremec.com)
