Pratt Institute exhibits and panel discussion
Stop by the Pratt Institute Thursday to peruse its newest exhibit, “Organic Matter: Woven Artwear by Pratt Fashion,” featuring the work of Pratt’s fashion students who were challenged to use knitwear to create fine art. And a few blocks away, check out “0 to 60: The Experience of Time through Contemporary Art,” a multi-medium exhibit that challenges viewers to think about time and all its iterations in new ways, closing this Saturday. Then stick around for a panel discussion about the experience of time through contemporary art, featuring three artists whose work is showcased in the exhibit. (Organic Matter: Open through Jan. 28, Mon.-Fri., 10 a.m.-5 p.m., FREE, Gallery Nine, 44 W. 18th St., pratt.edu; 0 to 60: Closes Saturday, Mon.-Sat., 11 a.m.-6 p.m., 8 p.m. on Thurs., Pratt Manhattan Gallery, 144 W. 14th St., second fl., pratt.edu; panel discussion tonight, 6 p.m., FREE, Pratt Manhattan Gallery, 144 W. 14th St., second fl., rm. 213)
