Taste of the Nation
Since 1988, Taste of the Nation has been one of the most heralded tasting events in the city. Sixty-five celebrity chefs and acclaimed restaurants cook for attendees, and this year’s event, on April 29 at 82 Mercer, includes Gramercy Tavern, Red Rooster, The Marrow, Pegu Club and Aldea.

“I’ve been a long time supporter of Taste of the Nation,” said event co-chair and chef Alex Guarnaschelli. “To think that one in five children in this country suffers from hunger issues is criminal.”

Tickets are $225 ($425 VIP) but amNewYork readers get a 25% discount. Use the code AMNEWYORK. One-hundred percent of proceeds go to Share our Strength, which is working to end child hunger, as well as the Food Bank for NYC and the NYC Coalition Against Hunger, among others.
