A homeless man was slashed across the chest Thursday around 12:30 p.m. inside the 59th Street subway station on Lexington Avenue, police said.
The 32-year-old victim was cut with a box cutter after a dispute with another man and taken to Bellevue Medical Center with "fairly minor" injuries, according to the NYPD. He was expected to live.
The suspect, a black man dressed in all black clothing, hopped a southbound No. 6 train, and police were still searching for him as ofThursday night, the NYPD said. Police didn't know what sparked the dispute.
