The Knicks’ Tyson Chandler was one of two centers named to the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team Monday.

Oddly enough, the other center wasn’t this year’s Defensive Player of the Year, the Grizzlies’ Marc Gasol, but instead it was Joakim Noah of the Bulls.

Chandler and Noah each earning 24 points. Chandler received the most first-place votes among centers with nine compared with Noah’s eight. Gasol earned 12 points and five first-place votes.

Stars LeBron James of the Heat (52 points) and Chris Paul of the Clippers (37 points) were also first-team selections. Gasol’s teammate Tony Allen received the most points in the voting (53). The Thunder’s Serge Ibaka was the sixth member of the first team.

Joining Gasol on the second team are forwards Tim Duncan of the Spurs and Paul George of the Pacers, and guards Avery Bradley of the Celtics and Mike Conley of the Grizzlies.
