Congrats are in order for Anderson Cooper.

The journalist-talk show host is being honored with a top accolade at the GLAAD Media Awards in NYC on March 16, to be presented by none other than Madonna.

Cooper, who publicly came out of the closet last year, is set to receive the Vito Russo Award, which honors an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality.

Big names, including Ricky Martin, Cynthia Nixon, Elton John, Tom Ford, Nathan Lane and Rosie O'Donnell, have received the award in the past.
