Life's Too Short

'Life's Too Short'
If you've seen the "Star Wars" or "Harry Potter" franchises, then you've likely experienced the work of actor Warwick Davis. It might be hard to tell, though, as he's often buried under makeup, playing the likes of the Wicket the Ewok and the goblin Griphook. This HBO faux-reality series from Davis, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant gives the actor a real opportunity to shine and show off his humorous side. With some great guest spots from Liam Neeson and Johnny Depp, this is a series that more people need to see.(DVD, $29.98)

'Won't Back Down'
Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis play a parent and teacher, respectively, who join together to try to fix a failing school. (DVD, $22.98; Blu-ray, $29.99)

'To Rome With Love'
Woody Allen continues his world tour with this star-studded comedy set in Italy. (DVD, $30.99; Blu-ray, $35.99)

'The Possession'
Jeffrey Dean Morgan stars in this horror film about a young girl who becomes possessed by an ancient Jewish spirit. Morgan plays the girl's father, who goes a great distance (all the way from upstate to Brooklyn!) to save her. Featuring a great supporting performance from Matisyahu. (DVD, $29.95; Blu-ray, $39.99)

'The Paperboy'
Spoiler warning. Or, perhaps, a warning spoiler: If you only see one film where Nicole Kidman urinates on someone, it should be this. From the director of "Precious." (DVD, $28.99; Blu-ray, $29.99; Blu-ray/DVD combo, $34.99)

'Detropia'
This documentary from the directors of "Jesus Camp" explores the many problems plaguing Detroit. (DVD, $29.95)

'Anthony Jeselnik: Caligula'
The brutal roast comedian performs his equally brutal (and hilarious) stand-up comedy. (DVD, $14.98)

'Taken 2'
After rescuing his daughter in the first "Taken" movie," Liam Neeson is back. This time, he and his wife are the ones who are taken. (DVD, $29.98; Blu-ray, $39.99)
