Rangers can't over look lowly Florida Tuesday
The Rangers must be salivating at the thought of facing Florida again Tuesday night, just five days after trouncing the Panthers 6-1 at the Garden.
Florida (13-26-6) has the worst record in the NHL and the league’s worst goal differential (-58). And with the Rangers (24-17-4) posting an additional 12 goals in the two games since beating the Panthers, that all signs point to an easy “W” for the Rangers in South Florida.
But it will be important for the Rangers to avoid becoming overconfident, even as they prepare for a team that has lost six games in a row.
With just three games left for the Rangers to solidify a playoff spot and improve their seed to avoid a first-round matchup against the No. 1 Penguins, complacency must be avoided at all costs.
