State-of-the-art movie screen opens at BAM Wednesday
Moviegoers are in for a treat as the Brooklyn Academy of Music is debuting its brand new Steinberg Screen at the Harvey Theater Wednesday.
Standing at 35-by-19 feet, and equipped with 3-D and 2-D capabilities, it will open to the public with a full cinematic lineup scheduled for the summer — including a brand-new Woody Allen flick, “Blue Jasmine,” and the classic “Lawrence of Arabia.”
“It’s incredible sitting inside there,” said Prospect Heights resident Michael Tuckman, 36. “It’s great that it’s getting back to what it originally was, with no permanent modification.”
