Andrew Zimmern, the affable, eat-it-all host of Travel Channel's "Bizarre Foods," has traveled the globe in search of unusual cuisine to sate his prodigious hunger for truly outlandish food, chowing down on anything from eight-legged creepy-crawlies to four-legged friends (and everything in between).

For the new season, the chef is ditching his passport and touring cities in the United States, starting tonight with the Twin Cities and New Orleans next week.

While Zimmern has featured U.S. locations in previous seasons - hitting urban settings like New York City and rural spots like Appalachia - it was always his more exotic locales that made for the best shows. This Stateside season, however, manages to find some seriously strange grub to go along with more familiar homegrown oddities like Spam.

On TV: "Bizarre Foods America" airs Monday night at 10 p.m. on Travel Channel.
