We'd need a cocktail just to get though watching "Wheel of Fortune," never mind hosting it. Yes, people, wholesome icons Pat Sajak and Vanna White used to knock back pre-show booze in the early days of filming.

Sajak, 65, told Dan Le Batard of ESPN 2's "Dan Le Batard is Highly Questionable" that he and the blonde letter-flipper would leave during the show's two-hour dinner filming break and go to Mexican restaurant Los Arcos in Burbank for margaritas.

"Vanna and I would ... have two or three - or six - and then come and do the last shows and have trouble recognizing the alphabet," Sajak recalled, adding "It was a lot of fun."

The booze-fueled tapings might be a thing of the past, but Sajak said he'd like to revisit the wasted days of yore. "They're really great tapes to get a hold of," he said.
