One cab got an unexpected passenger this week.

A Greenpoint woman gave birth to a baby in the back of a taxi Tuesday - and her husband put the video of the amazing event on You Tube.

"We've been very active in the Occupy Wall Street movement, so it's kind of fitting she was born in the streets," said Beka Economopoulos, 37, a senior strategist for a company that specializes in "delivering social media and mobile-driven strategies."

Economopoulus and her husband, Jason Jones, 39, were welcoming friends into their Greenpoint home for an Occupy Wall Street meeting on foreclosure prevention and eviction defense when she began feeling the pulse of contractions two weeks early. Her husband called a livery cab, but Economopoulos insisted it stop about two blocks from her house, at Greenpoint Ave. and Diamond St.

Meanwhile, a friend who came along had called 911.

"The cab driver got orange flags out of his trunk and began directing traffic," Economopoulis said. Jones caught the baby, who arrived at about 6:32 p.m.

"The commander shut down the Pulaski Bridge and the Midtown Tunnel" to take baby Mila Amie Economopoulos Jones and her parents to Bellevue Medical Center, Economopoulus said.
