Pop stars Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift won the big prizes on Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards, which also honored legendary performers Madonna and Prince.
Bieber, who was named top male artist, also performed at the show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. He also took home Billboard's first Milestone Award, chosen by fans, for musical innovation and ingenuity.

Connecticut commuters can expect delays and limited service this week as MTA Metro North Railroad crews continue to repair damage from the Friday evening passenger-train collision in Bridgeport, Conn.
Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy said commuters, both drivers and train riders, will be affected throughout the week.

Aging online portal Yahoo! is set to buy the hugely popular blogging platform Tumblr after the $1.1 billion deal was cleared by Yahoo's board Sunday, according to All Things D, the tech blog of The Wall Street Journal.
The all-cash deal, which has been speculated about since last week, is the largest tech acquisition since Facebook bought Instagram in 2012.

Mother Nature couldn't mooga three days in a row.
Sunday's downpour canceled the final day of the Great Googa Mooga Festival. Organizers of the food and music event apologized for the last second change, which they said was for safety concerns, and promised ticket holders they'd get their money back.
