Randy Jackson is ditching “American Idol” and the rest of the hosts are rumored to be out next year. (Those hosts being Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and, um, that country singer guy.) So what now?

It seems “American Idol” execs aren’t all that “Obsessed” with Mariah Carey. Sources told TMZ.com that Fox executives have approached Jennifer Lopez about returning to the show and replacing Carey as judge.
Lopez was a judge on the program for two seasons, but quit last July amid contract negotiations. Carey filled her spot.
