Pregnant mother dies, baby saved following accident with snow plow

A pregnant woman was killed Thursday morning in Bay Ridge by a private snow plow, but doctors were able to deliver her baby, officials said.

Tom Brokaw reveals cancer diagnosis

Tom Brokaw revealed Tuesday that he is fighting cancer.

The 74-year-old former "NBC Nightly News" anchor revealed on the network's blog that he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer affecting blood cells in the bone marrow, in August. Female bike ridership doubles in NYC, cyclists safer: Study

More women are riding bikes, and more cyclists are following traffic laws, according to a report released Wednesday by Hunter College.

Researchers observed more than 4,300 cyclists in lower and central Manhattan and tallied whether they obeyed traffic laws, wore helmets and used electronic devices while riding.
