The 87th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to kick off the holiday season tomorrow, as more than 8,000 marchers will shove off at Central Park West and 77th Street and head down into Herald Square.

How to get around town during holiday

For holiday travelers staying in the New York City area this week, MTA buses and subways are running on a Sunday schedule as crews prepare the transit system for the winter storm.

With high winds and heavy rain expected Wednesday, the MTA will bring in extra workers, clear drains, securing equipment at yards and bus depots and ensure railroads are clear of trees and downed wires.
