LIRR's 'Double Track' plan under way
The project calls for the construction of a second track between Farmingdale and Ronkonkoma.
The LIRR says service is temporarily suspended between Jamaica and Hicksville after a non-passenger train struck an unauthorized person on the tracks in New Hyde Park.
