Valentine festival tops kids' weekend events in the Hudson Valley

Looking for family-friendly fun? Sing and dance with a kiddie band at a benefit concert – in your pajamas; celebrate Mardi Gras with indoor amusements; see two puppet shows in one morning; take your doll to a Valentine's tea party; or attend a Valentine's carnival. Friday: Pajama party with The Bossy Frog Band in New City (POSTPONED)
Put on some cuddly duds, grab a blanket and get ready to party with some crazy characters, including a 6-foot-tall hopping frog and a dancing monkey and crab at a kiddie concert for a cause. The Bossy Frog Band will perform an all-ages show to benefit the Clarkstown Family Resource Center, a community center offering information, support, programs and services to local families.
The event, which was originally scheduled for Friday, Feb. 8, has been postponed due to the blizzard. It will now take place on Friday, Feb. 15.

Saturday-Tuesday: Mardi Gras celebration in Mount Kisco
Let the kids stay up late and get a New Orleans experience without leaving Westchester at Grand Prix’s local Mardi Gras celebration. Each evening through Fat Tuesday, families are invited to get a little crazy with party beads and colorful masks while enjoying food and drink specials and indoor amusements, from bounce castles to bowling.

Saturday: Valentine's Doll tea party in White Plains
Kids age 4 and up can dress up in their favorite tea party finery and escort a treasured doll or teddy bear to a special Valentine’s Day celebration. The teatime festivities will include a wand craft, story time and refreshments such as hot cocoa and cookies. Space is limited; prepaid registration is required.

Sunday: Valentine's festival in White Plains
Families can enjoy carnival games, face painting and a live, interactive concert by the Brett Band for Kids at the YWCA Family Fun Day Valentine’s Day Carnival. Each ticket provides admission to the show, a Valentine's craft and one raffle entry. Bake sale goodies and additional raffle entries will be available for purchase. Event proceeds will benefit the YWCA Scholarship Fund.
