Vice President Joe Biden to visit New Jersey in Oct. to stump for Cory Booker's Senate campaign

The vice president will visit next month to campaign with Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who's running for U.S. Senate.

EDISON - Vice President Joe Biden will be in New Jersey next month to give Newark Mayor Cory Booker some more White House support in his campaign for U.S. Senate.

Biden will visit on Oct. 11 to stump for Booker, five days before New Jersey's special Senate election. President Barack Obama has already endorsed Booker for Senate.

The special election being held Oct. 16 will fill the seat formerly held by late Sen. Frank Lautenberg. Booker's opponent is Republican Steve Lonegan.
