QUEENS - Today marks the 12th anniversary of the crash of Flight 587.

Family members of the victims gathered for a memorial service today in Queens.

The Dominican Republic-bound flight went down moments after takeoff, crashing in Belle Harbor. All 260 people on board were killed, along with five on the ground.

The crash happened just two months after Sept. 11, immediately sparking fears of another terrorist attack, though investigators ruled the crash an accident.
