A $1,000 reward was being offered Tuesday to help find who's responsible for a number of fatal cat poisonings in the northwest part of Yonkers in recent weeks.

For years now, neighbors along Bretton Road and nearby Hoover Road have watched over and fed a community of cats living in the area. But back in March, people started noticing the cats were disoriented, unable to stand, and then died.

Tests on the cats showed no sign of rabies or organ damage, so doctors believe the cats might have ingested rat poison.
