GREENWICH - Vineyard Vines in Greenwich held a special sale today to support the town's Sept. 11 Memorial fund.

The town plans on building a memorial in a Cos Cob park.

James Ritman, the fund’s president, says Vineyard Vines designed a special tie for the sale, with 10 percent of all proceeds going toward the construction of the memorial.

Ritman says the memorial is important to make sure that future generations never forget the attacks on New York, Washington D.C. and on United Flight 93 over Shanksville, PA.
