Weather: Sunshine expected after Arthur’s rain

News 12 New Jersey Weather On The 1s

EDISON - The National Hurricane Center says Hurricane Arthur should pass well off the New Jersey coast, but the state will still feel some of the storm’s effects.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says the outer bands of the storm could drop heavy rains and it's expected to cause rip currents through the Independence Day holiday weekend.

But morning rains will give way to slowly improving weather conditions.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be gorgeous but beachgoers are cautioned to obey lifeguards and not swim at unguarded beaches.
