NORWALK - The cold temperatures this week will give way to snow on Thursday.

News 12 Connecticut Meteorologist Kari Hall says snow is expected to develop Thursday after 4 a.m. Light snow will turn into heavier snow around 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. It will turn into a heavy, wet snow with gusty winds by midday. Highs on Thursday will be 36 degrees.

Thursday morning and evening commutes are expected to be affected by the snow.

Today will be sunny but very cold, with 5-10 mph northwest winds. Tonight is expected to be cold, with temperatures ranging from 2 degrees in Redding to 9 degrees in Stamford.
