In an exclusive interview with News 12, Astorino said he's excited for the convention and believes he has a chance at becoming New York's next governor. Astorino will officially be nominated for governor Thursday.
New York's Republican Convention kicked off earlier Wednesday with the party's nominations for state comptroller and attorney general.
The Republican Party has nominated Onondaga County Comptroller Robert Antonacci for state comptroller. John Cahill, a Yonkers lawyer, is the party's nomination for attorney general. Cahill was chief-of-staff to former Gov. George Pataki.
