LEGOLAND to see how job candidates stack up
Out of work? Need a new career? Just brush up on your LEGO stacking skills, like the enthusiasts who will compete for the position of master model builder for the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester.
This weekend, LEGO enthusiasts from throughout the region will compete in Brick Factor at Ridge Hill in Yonkers, a two-day search for the best snapper and stacker. The winner will nab a full-time salaried position building exhibits and models at the attraction, according to a news release.
Starting at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the competitors will face millions of LEGO bricks and themed challenges before an audience of friends, family members and spectators. A panel of judges will name the winner.
The unique job audition challenge will include a routine sitdown with officials from the company's human resources department Sunday for the top candidates. But the finale, beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, promises to be a spectacle for all to see.
