Woman killed in hit-and-run on Woodland Avenue

STAMFORD - A woman was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run collision at about 7:00 p.m. on Woodland Avenue. 

Witnesses say the woman was hit by a vehicle, the impact of which sent her under a pickup truck, trapping her beneath.

Neighbors in the area rushed to the scene to help the victim before first responders arrived.
